Located at 3000m altitude, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is the sacred temple for Buddhism. Built by King Gue-na at 1383AD, this temple can become the most beautiful place that you have ever seen. This temple has four praying rooms and one gold Buddha statue. At this temple we also can see the chedi which is believed as the legacy of the origin Buddha. To come to this temple, the visitor has to climb around 300 stairs.
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is located 15 KM from Chiang Mai city. The best way to go to this vacation destination place is by bus from Chotana Road and Manneenopparat Road with 60 bath fare (35 to go and 25 to come back). Some Thailand vacation packages offers to go this vacation place with fare around 600 till 1000 bath.
